FORTNITE: HOW TO GET VENOM & CARNAGE SYMBIOTE MYTHICS IN SEASON 8

Fortnite’s ongoing collaboration with Marvel Comics continued in Chapter 2 - Season 8 — the game’s latest major update. Fans of the Symbiote-toting villain Cletus “Carnage” Kasady will be delighted to find him on page ten of the seasonal Battle Pass. What’s more, Epic has released two Mythic abilities a la Chapter 2 - Season 4’s Marvel-centric season.
These two abilities — called the Venom and Carnage Symbiote — pay homage to two of Spider-Man’s most worthy adversaries. The two Symbiotes crash-landed on earth in the Marvel universe. These suits are now appearing in Fortnite, and we have all the information you’ll need to track them down and try them out for yourself.
WHERE TO FIND THE VENOM & CARNAGE SYMBIOTE MYTHICS
The two new character abilities in Season 8 are a bit different than those back in the Marvel-themed season. Before, you’d have to drop into the correct area and eliminate a non-player character (NPC) to claim the ability. This time around, the Mythic abilities drop randomly after the first Storm Circle reveals itself.
As you can see above, the two red circles indicate where the Venom and Carnage Symbiote Mythics dropped respectively. You won’t be able to scout them before landing since they don’t appear on the map until the first Storm Circle appears. We’ve only tested a few times, and it seems the two abilities tend to spawn in the middle of the map either near Corny Crops or Boney Burbs.
HOW TO USE THE SYMBIOTES
If you’re lucky enough to find one, it will occupy an inventory slot. The two Symbiote abilities grant zero gravity, no fall damage, a speed boost, tendrils and glider redeploy based on the tweet from GlitchKing15 above.

- Venom and Carnage spawn in at each zone in canisters
- Grab deals 60 damage and pulls enemy
- Cooldown of 10 seconds
- Glider re-deploy
- Increased speed
- You still take Fall damage
- You can only use 1 at a time
That covers everything we know so far about the Venom and Carnage Symbiote Mythic items. These are now in-game, so feel free to jump off the Battle Bus and try them out. It’s unclear how long these will be available to use in Chapter 2 - Season 8, so be sure to find and use them now!
