The KOSPI fell 1.3 percent to 2,941.81 in Seoul, while the S & P-ASX 200 in Sydney fell 1.7 percent to 7,282.50.
The Sensex in India fell 1.8 percent to 57,752.68. New Zealand and Southeast Asia's markets have also shrunk.
On Wednesday, the S&P 500, the most widely followed stock index on Wall Street, gained 0.2 percent. Due to a shorter trading day, the US market will resume on Friday.
Investors were already wary after the Federal Reserve announced this week that it would respond to increasing inflation by raising interest rates quicker than originally envisaged in a memorandum from the October meeting.
Strong US business results have buoyed financial markets, and there are signs that the global economy is recovering from last year's catastrophic economic slump. Simple loans and other methods established by the Fed and other central banks helped stock values.
Investors are concerned that stronger-than-expected inflation may put pressure on central bankers to withdraw stimulus quicker than intended. The Federal Reserve has previously stated that it expected interest rates to remain low until late next year.
In energy trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, benchmark US crude slid $ 2.22 per barrel to $ 76.17 in electronic trading. In London, Brent crude, the international benchmark for oil prices, decreased from $ 1.84 to $ 79.08 per barrel.
The dollar dropped from 115.36 yen to 114.74 yen on Thursday. At $1.1221, the euro stayed strong.
